After living in Mexico for more than 10 years, Rick became deeply captivated by Huichol art and now dedicates himself to creating collectible pieces using Huichol-style glass beads.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1877\">With over 20 years of experience in digital pixelation, Rick finds a sublime connection between <strong data-start=\"1785\" data-end=\"1799\">pixelation<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1815\">beading<\/strong>, as both rely on geometric patterns to create special images.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1879\" data-end=\"2040\">Throughout his career, Rick has also explored abstract anthropomorphic patterns, which were evident in his early printed works and his ventures into digital art.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2042\" data-end=\"2192\">Rick refers to his current style as <strong data-start=\"2078\" data-end=\"2118\">\u201cGlass beads with steroids\u201d<\/strong>, blending traditional Huichol craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2194\" data-end=\"2336\">This project aims not only to deliver unique art but also to support the growth and recognition of the Huichol community within the art world.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2338\" data-end=\"2384\"><strong data-start=\"2338\" data-end=\"2384\">Rick is always open to custom commissions!<\/strong><\/h3>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A vibrant sculpture featuring traditional Huichol beadwork.
